Abkhaziya Hills
Day 1. Lake Rica - Awadhara
Since Adler's team, we've crossed the border and we're moving to Ritz's lake. There's a bit of rest here, distribution of food, and then we start walking to Avadhar. This place is famous for its mineral waters, which we will drink today as much as we want.
Day 2. Lake Mzi
There are two radials waiting for us today. With the heavy backpacks in the Avadhar camp, we will rise up to the Achitaca Ridge, to the Mosie Living Lake (which is slightly over 2,000 metres above sea level). I'm happy to fall in love with the carpet lake and go back to the camp for lunch. In the afternoon, we're going to walk into the waterfall valley. For the most insecure, it will be possible tonight to climb Mount Ajar.
Day 3. Ancho.
We're making a transition with the backpacks and all of our stuff across Ancho's cross to the Piv field. Here, we'll break our camp at 3:00 A.M. All this time, we're going to radial without heavy backpacks.
Day 4 Semi Lake Valley
Our camp stays at the Piv field. With light backpacks, we're going to see the valley of seven lakes. Photographers, be ready! It's a very beautiful and wild place. We'll also go up to Mount Agur and make good pictures.
Day 5. Ridge Arikhua
We've got a radical exit without backpacks again. Let's go up to the Ridge of Arichua, where the cattle of local shepherds is in large numbers. We buy milk and cheese from them. Gurmans, attention, such delicious dairy products as in the mountains of Abkhazia, you certainly never tried. After the trape, we'll go up to Mount Ancho (2698 m) and go back to the Piv field.
Day 6-7. Pshoo.
We collect tents and pack the backpacks. We're about to go to the famous Abkhaz mountain village, Pshu. It is located in a close mountain valley between the Caucasus and the Bzyb ridges. We'll spend the next day in this wonderful, isolated settlement from the world. We'll visit the dolmen and the fortress of the eighth century. We'll see the real living of this part of the Caucasus.
Day 8. Gudauth transshipment
Through numerous armored and hinged bridges, we are passing through the Bzib River Valley and heading up to the Hudautski River (1500 m). Let's go down to the village of Habyu, where we get on the bus to New Afon, where we're sleeping right on the coast of the sea.
Day 9. New Afon, rest at sea
Morning, rest at sea. Who doesn't like lying on the beach can look at the monastery, the local waterfalls and the cave. The programme of our march on Abkhazia has been exhausted. The team is coming home. I want to rest.
